Lyft - Poor Customer Service

May 25, 2023, I was charged a cancellation fee. I messaged my driver and asked him to wait few minutes. I usually ride the bus to work, but I woke up late, and needed to take a shower and then leave right after my shower. The problem is that even if you use the option to wait 15 minutes, driver's respond immediately. I was less than three minutes from walking into the parking area where the driver was waiting so I messaged him. He turned around and called me. Of course I couldn't get to the phone. I picked up the phone running outside to see him leaving, and had to call another Lyft right after that, and still made it to work early. My point is that I got charged a cancellation fee, and that wasn't fair. I feel like the driver could have politely waited or even started the meter, but he knew that he can get a cancelation fee out of anyone who a Lyft driver leaves, and all of a sudden, the Lyft driver's for your rides suddenly come from a lot farther away, and the price has gone up. It's just really bad customer service policies, and at least you could refund the cancellation fee given that I scheduled a ride within one or two minutes of the driver leaving. User's recommendation: Don't give businesses your money if they can't show any respect for you as human being.

All your fault. You are the one that woke up late. Call after your shower as you are standing in your pick up spot.
