1. What is PissedConsumer.com?

We are a leading consumer advocacy and review platform giving voice to ordinary people and connecting businesses and consumers.

2. Who are our users?

Our users are experts whose reviews can be trusted because they base them on their own experience and genuine opinion.

3. Where does our content come from?

Our content is 100% user-generated and is mostly written by people who have experienced a product/service for some time and know exactly what they are talking about. Please see our About Us page for more information.

PissedConsumer redacts reviews from its website if you participate in Legitimacy Verification Program (LVP) and if the decision is made by LVP Arbitrator to redact it.

4. Why you сan trust consumer reviews on PissedConsumer.

PissedConsumer.com is built upon these 5 fundamental elements:

  • 100% user-generated content. Our users certify that their reviews are based on their own experience, are their genuine opinion of products or services, and that they will not impersonate other people or entities.
  • Professional automated and live moderation. Our algorithms and robots scan reviews for unusual patterns that indicate fake reviews. We use review management tools to support relevancy and appropriateness of the content. Also, we have a moderation team that monitors the quality of the content on our site.
  • Zero tolerance for fake reviews. We have zero-tolerance for fraudulent behaviour including, but not limited to fake and/or spammy content. We do not remove reviews for money. We do not allow fraudulent reviews, whether positive or negative.
  • Verified content. Authors of reviews on our platform are real-life people; consumers and clients with real concerns and real emotions. We have content posted by Verified Reviewers and Verified Buyers. Our reviewers are largely “seasoned” consumers who have experienced a product/service for some time and know exactly what they are talking about.
  • Equal Opportunity and Protection. We provide an equal opportunity platform free from cherry-picking duress or unreasonable content policing. We fight for our users in court defending their right to freedom of speech and expression.

5. Who is allowed to post reviews on PissedConsumer?

Our mission is to collect people's opinion about products, services and companies. Our platform allows everyone, not only customers but employees, ex-employees, etc. leave their reviews on our site.

General Questions

6. Who are Verified Reviewers?

A Verified Reviewer is a person who has created an account on PissedConsumer.com, provided valid contact information and has not been caught misusing, spamming or abusing our website. Such users get a “Verified Reviewer” badge. This badge can also be awarded to people posting content on our website using their social accounts.

7. Who are Verified Buyers?

A Verified Buyer is a person who has purchased the reviewed product/service and confirms being a paying customer of a company where the reviewed product/service has been purchased from. Reviews submitted by such people will be published with a “Verified Buyer” badge.
Verified Buyers provide proofs of purchase during review submission process such as copies of invoices or receipts, product photos, copies of electronic communications with product/service providers, etc.

8. How long will my posting remain on the website?

Provided that a posting complies with our Terms of Use, it shall remain active on our website indefinitely.

9. How can I remove my posting from the website? What if I misrepresented the facts in a prior posting, for example?

You can remove your prior reviews if the reviews were created under your account. Please log into your account and go to the review in question to remove it.

We can also remove content from our website if we receive a notarized letter from the person who posted it. Users should be advised that PissedConsumer does not endorse posting of false information. If you have made a false posting on our website and wish that it be removed, submit a notarized letter outlining the details below.
A notarized letter must include all of the following:

  • A statement that you are the user who posted the information that you now seek to remove.
  • A statement that the information previously posted by you was incorrect at the time it was posted.
  • Your full name, mailing address, email address and signature.
  • The URL (Address) of the subject post as it appears on PissedConsumer.com.
  • A statement that you declare under penalty of perjury that the information provided in this request is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Legible notary stamp (please make sure we can read commission or id number).

10. How do I edit content I have posted?

You can edit your prior reviews and/or add supplemental information to them if the reviews were created under your account. Please log into your account and go to the review in question to edit it and/or add supplemental information to it.

11. Is a login required to post on the website?

While PissedConsumer encourages users to create accounts, users are able to submit postings anonymously. Therefore, a login is not required to submit a posting on the website.

12. How do I change my nickname?

If you would like to change your current nickname on PissedConsumer, please follow these steps:

  • Log in to your PissedConsumer account;
  • Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page);
  • Choose "Personal info" from the dropdown menu;
  • Press the edit icon next to your current nickname and type in your new desired nickname;
  • Press "Save" button to save the changes.

13. How do I change the email my PissedConsumer account is associated with?

You can change an email address associated with your account on the "Settings" page:

  • Log in to your PissedConsumer account;
  • Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page);
  • Choose "Personal info" from the dropdown menu;
  • Press the edit icon next to your current email and type in your desired new email;
  • Press "Save" button to save the changes. Your new email takes effect immediately.

14. How do I reset my password?

Please follow these steps to reset your PissedConsumer password:
  • Go to PissedConsumer.com;
  • Click “Login” on the toolbar;
  • Click “Forgot password?” in the opening pop up window;
  • Enter your PissedConsumer registration email address and security code;
  • Click “Send Password” button;
  • Check your email inbox and follow further instructions to reset your password.

15. How do I change my PissedConsumer account password?

If you want to change your password, please follow the steps below:

  • Log into your account;
  • Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page);
  • Choose "Personal info" from the dropdown menu;
  • Click "Change password" button and type in your new desired password; make sure you create a unique password to help keep someone from breaking in to your account;
  • Confirm your new password in the "Verify Password" field;
  • Press "Save" button to save your changes. Your new password takes effect immediately.

16. How do I unsubscribe from email notifications on comments to my reviews?

If you want to unsubscribe from email notifications on comments to your reviews, please follow the steps below:

  • Log in to your PissedConsumer account;
  • Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Notifications" from the dropdown menu;
  • Scroll down to “Turn on/off all email from PissedConsumer.com” bar and slide the bar to the left.

17. How can I mark my review as "Resolved"?

17.1 For registered posters:

1) Log into your PissedConsumer account;

2) Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Reviews" from the dropdown menu;

3) Choose the review you would like to mark as resolved and click "Update review" button;

4) Click "Mark as resolved" button.

17.2 For anonymous posters:

To mark your review as resolved, please contact us at help@pissedconsumer.com or via Contact PissedConsumer  form and provide the following information:

1) Your Full Name;

2) Review URL or review ID;

3) A statement that you are the user who posted the review;

4) A statement that your issue is now resolved.

Please use the following subject for your email: “My issue with [CompanyName] was resolved".

17.3 For posters who left their email address during review submission process and posted their reviews prior to March 7, 2018:

1) Follow the link given in the “Thank You” email you received upon posting the review;

2) As soon as you are redirected to the review page, press "Mark as resolved" button.

As soon as you mark the posting as resolved, it will be associated with your existing PissedConsumer.com account.

Please note that the link from “Thank You” email remains valid for 6 months from the date of receipt of the email. If you lost your "Thank you" email, please contact us via Contact PissedConsumer form.

18. How do I update my review?

If you want to update your review, please follow the steps below:

18.1 For registered posters:

1) Log into your PissedConsumer account;

2) Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Reviews" from the dropdown menu;

3) Choose the review you would like to update and click "Update review" button;

4) Click on "Add more review text" and type in your update in the "Write Update to Your Review" popup window;

5) Press "Save" button to save the changes.

18.2 For anonymous posters:

1) Go to PissedConsumer.com;

2) Click "Login" button in the upper right corner of the page;

3) Click "Sign up" button at the bottom of the popup window and fill in required fields;

4) Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Reviews" from the dropdown menu;

5) Choose the review you would like to update and click "Update review" button;

6) Click "Add more review text" and type in your update in the "Write Update to Your Review" popup window;

7) Press "Save" button to save the changes.

18.3 For posters who left their email address during review submission process and posted their reviews prior to March 7, 2018:

1) Follow the link given in the “Thank You” email you received upon posting the review;

2) As soon as you are redirected to the review page, press "Write update" button.

As soon as you update your posting, it will be associated with your existing PissedConsumer.com account.

19. How can I rate or re-rate my review?

If you want to change or add rating and other details to your review, please follow the steps below:

19.1 For registered posters:

1) Log into your PissedConsumer account;

2) Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Reviews" from the dropdown menu;

3) Choose the review you would like to rate or re-rate and click "Update review" button;

4) Click on the field with stars and rate or re-rate criteria you see in the popup window;

5) Press "Save" button to save the changes.

19.2 For anonymous posters:

1) Go to PissedConsumer.com;

2) Click "Login" button in the upper right corner of the page;

3) Click "Sign up" button in the bottom of the popup window and fill in required fields;

4) Click on profile icon on the toolbar (upper right corner of the page) and choose "Reviews" from the dropdown menu;

5) Choose the review you would like to rate or re-rate and click "Update review" button;

6) Click on the field with stars and rate or re-rate criteria you see in the popup window;

7) Press "Save" button to save the changes.

19.3 For posters who left their email address during review submission process and posted their reviews prior to March 7, 2018:

1) Follow the link given in the “Thank You” email you received upon posting the review;

2) Click "Add details" button;

3) Provide details you would like to change/ add to your review.

20. How do I report a review?

PissedConsumer allows posters to report reviews. A review can be reported due to the following reasons:

  • inappropriate or not family friendly;
  • it is posted to the wrong business;
  • review is a duplicate by the same member or copied text;
  • review contains commercial or promotional content;
  • review includes private information, etc.
 

If you believe a certain review should be reported, please follow these steps:

1) Go to a review page of the review you would like to report;

2) Scroll down the page until you see a flag sign in the lower right corner;

3) Click the flag sign;

4) Select reason for reporting a review;

5) Click “Send report” button.

Your report will be forwarded to our moderation team for review.

21. How do I report a comment?

PissedConsumer allows posters to report comments. A comment can be reported due to the following reasons:

  • inappropriate or not family friendly;
  • a comment contains commercial or promotional content;
  • a comment includes private information, etc.
 

If you believe a certain comment should be reported, please follow these steps:

1) Select a comment you would like to report;

2) Click a flag sign;

3) Select reason for reporting a comment;

4) Click “Send report” button.

Your report will be forwarded to our moderation team for review.

22. What can I do if I believe that someone is slandering me on PissedConsumer?

It would be advisable for you to speak to a legal professional about the situation.
